Magnit Delivery reports positive EBITDA and accelerates order growth

Russian food retailer Magnit has released operating results for its e-commerce service, Magnit Delivery, for the second quarter of 2026. The number of fulfilled orders exceeded 35 million, up 73% year on year. The number of grocery orders placed through the retailer’s proprietary mobile application doubled compared with the same period last year.

Financial performance and infrastructure

In the first half of 2026, Magnit Delivery’s gross merchandise value (GMV) increased by 73% year on year. The business also reported positive EBITDA.

The company attributes the performance to several factors:

  1. The unique online assortment expanded to 22,200 SKUs in the second quarter, supported by the development of fulfilment from dark stores.
  2. The retailer continued to improve personalised customer offers.
  3. The average delivery time for express services remained at 32 minutes nationwide.

“Magnit Delivery demonstrates stable, dynamic growth across key metrics, confirming the effectiveness of the strategy we have chosen. We are focused on technological improvements in last-mile delivery, enhancing the customer experience, and improving business efficiency. In 2026, we will continue to develop in these areas and expand the service’s geographic coverage, as well as the dark-store and grey-store model, which provides more opportunities to address a wider range of consumer shopping needs,” said Anton Zubov, Director of the Magnit Delivery business format at Magnit Group.

The company’s results illustrate the continuing development of hybrid fulfilment models in Russian e-grocery. Magnit is expanding delivery capabilities through dark stores and plans to further scale its dark-store and grey-store formats.
